Thora Birch

 Thora Birch was born March 11 in 1982. She is an American actress, producer and director. Her film debut was in Purple People Eater (1988), where she won the Young Artist Award for "Best Young Artistress Under Nine Years old". Birch was a child actress who was in films such as All I Want For Christmas (1991) as well as the Patriot Games(1992), Hocus Pocus (1993), Monkey Trouble (94), Now and Then (1995) as well as Alaska (1996). The actress won a Young Artist Award in the category of "Best Young Actress Under Nine Years of Age." In 1999, Birch played Jane Burnham in American Beauty. This film resulted in an BAFTA nomination. In 2001, she received a nomination for Best Actress for Ghost World. In 2003, Birch received an Emmy Award nomination for playing the lead role in Homeless to Harvard: The Liz Murray Story. Birch has also appeared in Dungeons & Dragons (2000) and The Hole (2001), Silver City (2004) and Dark Corners (2006). She was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2003. Birch was also a part of Whisperer Mary as well as Gamma in season 10 of The Walking Dead (2019-2020). Birch is Jack Birch's oldest son was born in Los Angeles. Birch is German-Jewish, Scandinavian and French-Canadian descent.  Her name, "Thora," is the name that comes from Thora, the Norse god of thunder and lightning ("Thor") and would be her name if she were a young boy. Kian Bolt Birch Her younger brother, is also her mother. Both were adult film actors and have been in Deep Throat. Due to their own experience in the entertainment industry the parents were reluctant initially to support Thora. However, Thora's photograph was viewed by agents when a babysitter saw her imitation commercials. Her first break came at age four after her babysitter brought her along to auditions for a Quaker Oats commercial.
